Modified Nanoclay Powder Coatings Composite for Energy Saving Applications

چکیده :
Powder coatings are environmentally friendly due to their fast-curing process and lack of organic solvents. In the construction industry, they can be used for thermal insulation and energy efficiency. A study investigated the radiative properties of nanocomposite powder coatings with modified nanoclay for thermal insulation and its impact on temperature and energy consumption. The coatings were prepared with polyurethane and nanoclay in three weight percentages. The results showed that adding modified nanoclay increased the emission coefficient, absorption coefficient, and thermal conductivity coefficient. The study also found that applying these coatings reduced internal surface and temperature, reducing heat transfer and energy consumption.
