چکیده :
Jambur is an important producing field for its light weight (API=40), but drilling in this field had been accompanied with a lot of problems and challenges. The most important of these problems are: lost circulation, brine influx, drill pipe sticking, washouts, and drill string cut-off. These problems led to extra time and cost to drill wells in this field. This research introduces a preliminary vision of faults, fractures, and their effects on formations thicknesses, inclinations, formation tops, and their contained pressures. Jambur field is famous of its various faults. These faults usually form connections and channels that help reservoir waters brines to migrate into other formations, which makes predicting their location by geologist more difficult. Also these faults will make the formations weaker. Thus, formations will not be able to resist the high mud weight of drilling fluid leading to a lost circulation situation. This research concentrates on three main problems in Jambur field: Lost circulation problem, lost circulation and brine influx problem and Lost circulation problem.
