Synthesis of novel multifunctional azo-linked pyrazole-tetrazole hydrids using magnetic nanocatalyst

چکیده :
In current report, the synthesis of novel multifunctional pyrazole-tetrazole derivatives was carried out by the reaction of diverse aryl aldehydes, malononitrile, phenylhydrazine and sodium azide in the presence of magnetic supported silver nanocatalyst (MoS2@Fe2O3@Ag) in ethanol at room temperature. This method provided a novel approach for the synthesis of pyrzaole-tetrazole in excellent yield (90–95%) and short reaction time (15-25 min).The structures of prepared compounds were confirmed by analytical methods Tetrazoles are extensively applied in different industries as instance: stabilizers in photography and photo imaging, explosives in rocket propellants, chelating agents in coordination chemistry, plant growth regulators, herbicides, fungicides in agriculture, and anti-wears and frictions in lubricants. Additionally, tetrazoles can be served as bioisosteres for the carboxylic acids. Replacing a carboxyl group with tetrazolyl moiety extensively improves the metabolic stability, bioavailability and cell permeability of a drug molecule. When increase in the lipophilicity factor (log P) for a drug molecule involving carboxylic moiety is desired, one can replace the carboxylic moiety with tetrazole as a more lipophilic bioisostere. Consequently, tetrazoles are widely applied in synthesis of many well-known drugs like losartan, candesartan, zolarsartan and valsartan. In addition, tetrazoles exhibit varied biological activities such as antihypertensive, antibacterial, antifungal, anticonvulsant, anti inflammatory, antitubercular, anticancer, antineoplastic, antiallergic, and antiviral especially anti-HIV activities. The synthesis of tetrazole and its derivatives has attracted considerable attention since the broad utilitiesfound for tetrazoles.
