چکیده :
Solar energy is a highly sought-after source of power due to its abundance and environmental friendliness. To make solar cells more cost-effective and efficient, researchers have developed various deposition technologies, such as dipping, plating, thick film deposition, and thin film deposition. However, the large space requirements for traditional solar panels have hindered their practical usage. To overcome this limitation, scientists have turned to transparent solar cells (TSCs), which can transform any glass surface into a photovoltaic solar cell. These innovative cells absorb and utilize unwanted light energy through windows in buildings and automobiles, making efficient use of architectural space. There are currently around nine transparent photovoltaic (TPV) technologies under development. These technologies aim to achieve high transparency while maintaining electrical performance compatible with conventional solar panels. A recent review paper has compiled the latest reported technologies since 2007, focusing on transparent photovoltaic technologies with an average transmission of at least 20%. The paper provides insights into the processes, materials, advantages, and disadvantages of each technology from performance, aesthetic, and financial perspectives.
