Abstract: The market in the general sense refers to the space in which the interaction of supply and demand for goods and services occurs. As a big market, Tehran market is known as the main source of buying and selling goods and services in Tehran and its surrounding area. The effects of Tehran Grand Bazaar in the last two decades on the urban environment are widely felt and can include traffic and vehicle accumulation: the high volume of traffic and increasing density of vehicles in the Tehran market leads to an increase in traffic and accumulation of vehicles and air pollution. This heavy traffic and congestion may have negative effects on citizens' quality of life, public health and social harmony. Changes in the use of space: the existence of Tehran's big market and the concentration of commercial and service activities in certain areas may lead to changes in the use of urban spaces. For example, reducing the role of public spaces and increasing commercial spaces and parking lots is worth mentioning.
